Folded Leaf

Folded Leaf is a publishing and bookbinding press set up by artist Éilís Murphy in 2014. It creates handmade and limited edition books often in collaboration with other creatives. Folded Leaf is interested in visualising the book in a different way, providing an accessible, tactile format that creates an interactive and intimate space for the audience to engage with.

Éilís Murphy is a multidisciplinary artist who draws inspiration from forgotten or lost knowledge; interspecies communication and language; hidden narratives and memory. Artists’ books are her principal medium. Through them, she draws together diverse elements such as print, collage and participatory events, weaving multiple threads together. Her eco-feminist practice seeks to create connections with slower, older ways of being. She enjoys working collaboratively, often bringing people together to focus on social and ecojustice issues.

In 2022, Éilís was awarded a Visual Arts Bursary from the Arts Council of Ireland to develop her practice.
