Description
Square Photographs of White Circle Paintings and All the Paintings in the Museum by Guy Bigland
An introduction to Square Photographs of White Circle Paintings and All the Paintings in the Museum, two books that emerge from an interest in painting(s) and head off on tangents that draw in language, history, collecting, archives, digitisation and abstraction.
Arts and Mathematics – A deeper insight into the meaning and artistic creation process of Darja Shatalova’s books
In the presentation, the multidisciplinary artist Darja Shatalova, based in Vienna, talks about the creation process of her artist’s books, how they are connected to her spatial installations performances and sound projects and why the analogue way of notation is still that important in an age of global digitalisation.
Tarraingíonn Scéal Scéal Eile (One Story Leads to Another) by Iollann Ó Murchú
Tarraingíonn Scéal Scéal Eile (One Story Leads to Another) is a photobook which aims to visually represent stories of Irish folklore and mythology. It does so in a lyrical and engaging manner, focusing particularly on fables which are set in and attached to the Irish landscape. This work includes text in the English and Irish language, and the words, imagery, and structure of the book play against each other throughout.
