SEED objects of wonder journal
SEED: objects of wonder journal is a new mixed media journal of art and writing inspired by the revived interest in receiving beautiful mail that emerged during the pandemic. They get writers, artists, craftspeople, street artists, dancers and dj’s collaborating around common themes.
A typical edition of SEED might contain curated poems on plantable seed paper, interview excerpts printed in risograph, yoga poses linked to the seasons, a QR code leading you to a dj playlist, a swatch of fabric from a craft circle, or a banana leaf printed with a recipe.
SEED is co-edited by Grace Wilentz and Róisín Power Hackett and created by the SEED Collective, a group of diverse young artists and activists rethinking ways of curating and communicating, to expand the imaginative potential of what a journal can be. SEED is collected by NIVAL, the National Library of Ireland and the UCD Archive, as well as many private collections.
